Alstonville Creek Restoration Project

Review of Environmental Factors | Planning Pathways | Design Documentation

Overview

AWC was invited by Ballina Shire Council (BSC) to undertake the Alstonville Creek Restoration Project, which involves the naturalisation of the existing concrete lined 650m length of the Alstonville Creek within the Tanamera Reserve, and the re-establishment of riparian vegetation. AWC developed a suitable stakeholder engagement strategy with BSC, identifying key community stakeholder groups, local government departments and NSW Government agencies. The feedback obtained from stakeholder engagement and community consultation    was utilised in the development of the multi-stage design implementation – concept and detailed design and documentation.
