Overview
Johnstons Creek naturalisation project involved removing the existing concrete revetments and benching alongside the creek to create a saltmarsh ecosystem. Sandstone blocks were used to create the new sinuous form. Improvements to the surrounding parks were also undertaken in the process.
The project won the National Stormwater Australia Award, in
the category of ‘Excellence in Asset Management.’
