Kirstins Lane Waterway Construction and Fish Passage
Fire Access and Fire Trail Upgrade | Review of Environmental Factors | Ecological Assessment Plan | Design Documentation
Purpose
AWC was engaged to work with developers on the realignment of a degraded waterway. The project included introducing stormwater treatment, increasing habitat features and removing restrictions on fish movement.
The outcome was a sinuous stream enabling fish passage up and through the site, and produced a successful riparian restoration. The new waterway design and construction maximises ecological outcomes and achieved endorsements from state agencies and local council.
