Overview
AWC were engaged by the Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network to provide a health assessment for a series of wetlands around Kyogle.
Using the Framework for Wetland Health Assessment developed by Australian Water Resources Commission, AWC undertook inspections and provided an initial assessment of four wetlands based on their, Catchment disturbance, Hydrological disturbance, Visual water quality and Wetland vegetation.
Advice on sampling regimes and a rehabilitation plans were developed for each site based on wetland condition, opportunities for expansion and available funding.
