Overview
AWC was engaged to carry out field assessments as part of ongoing catchment health monitoring throughout the Hornsby LGA. Hornsby Shire has monitored catchment health since 1994 and sought external support for field assessments.
The monitoring assessed the health of freshwater ecosystems, informed catchment management decisions, a review of planning controls, and the identification and prioritisation of appropriate management responses, through protection, remediation, rehabilitation, compliance, education, and community communication on waterway health to the people of Hornsby and beyond.
