Overview

AWC was invited by Lismore City Council to conduct the review and co-design of the Lismore Biodiversity Management Strategy (BMS) to provide recommendations for update of the BMS to ensure effective delivery of objectives in the next phase of implementation.

The project comprises a review of program objectives, the operating environment, including current tools and datasets, and an evaluation of achievements to date.

A key component of the review is engagement and consultation with Council and community stakeholders which was conducted by AWC.

 

Tasks & Outputs

+ Identify new policies, information, tools & datasets               relevant to biodiversity mgmt
+ Strengthening relationships with Council and the                 community through meaningful engagement and                 consultation
+ Critical evaluation of program successes, failures and         opportunities
+ Ensure delivery of biodiversity objectives across the              Lismore LGA
