Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plant – Environmental Discharge Assessment
Review of Environmental Factors | Planning Pathways | Design Documentation
Overview
The Marulan Wastewater Treatment Plan (WWTP) will be upgraded to improve the quality and quantity of potential discharges. The capacity will increase from 1100 Equivalent Persons (EP) to 9000 EP, it is likely a gradual increase as the population of Marulan expands.
This increases in outputs requires a environmental discharge license as part of the proposed WWTP upgrade. AWC will utilise the recommended approach outlined in the National Water Quality Management Strategy (NQWMS) to set water quality objectives for the future discharge arrangements.
