Narrabeen Creek – Northern Beaches, NSW
Fire Access and Fire Trail Upgrade | Review of Environmental Factors | Ecological Assessment Plan | Design Documentation
Overview
Warriewood Valley near Narrabeen Creek is becoming a low-medium density residential area with significant implications for stream hydrology, sediment, and nutrient regimes.
AWC conducted a detailed analysis of the riparian zone to determine such implications for future developments, including stream stability, native vegetation protection and enhancement, and public amenity improvements without increasing potential flooding issues.
The project provided a useful tool to approach subsequent land use and management with flooding and ecological constraints.
