Overview
AWC have been working with Landcom and Mid Coast Council to develop innovative stormwater quality and quantity management solutions on a 615 ha urban subdivision.
Understanding the ecology, plant assemblages and eco hydrological ranges is key to establishing resilient and robust stormwater treatment and water management systems.
The design response developed features large internal flood storage in connected basins with ephemeral and open water zones, this is integrated with stormwater treatment and infiltration devices. Vegetative treatments reflect characteristic local ecosystems providing a robust low maintenance ecological design response
