Pimpama River WWTP -Wetland Rehabilitation and Nutrient Offset Project

Catchment Analysis | Treatment Technology | Stakeholder Engagement | Site Investigation | Feasibility Study

Overview

AWC are collaborating with Water Technology and Gold Coast Water to assess the feasibility of achieving nitrogen offsets and flow reduction of flow transfer at the Pimpama Wastewater Treatment Plant. The works will reduce pollutant loads from the Pimpama River catchment.

Proposed treatment and storage areas were designed as coastal wetlands and mangrove forests. Highest astronomical tides, existing vegetation and acid sulphate where key drivers when locating wetland extents.
