Overview
As part of the Queensland Government’s Wet Tropics Major Integrated Project, and in partnership with Terrain, AWC developed a strategy and detailed design to intercept sediment and nitrates from the cane land below Tully Sugar Mill.
The works involved constructing a structural weir over several years between wet seasons. To prevent the weir from creating a barrier interrupting fish movement, AWC designed an offline ladder that enabled clear passage.
