Purpose

To remediate identified impacts from stormwater by addressing past damage and installing cost-effective Best Practice pollutant source controls and treatment systems.

Objectives

  • To reduce the frequency and volume of smaller more frequent stormwater discharges entering Airforce Beach Wetland
  • Improve the water quality leaving the residential area
  • Prevent environmental weed incursion into the core wetland
  • Reduce the volume of sediment reaching the core wetland area
  • Add to the biodiversity values of the area
