Riverdale Park, Lake Health Assessment and Restoration Plan

AWC were engaged by Logan City Council to redesign Riversdale Park Lake in Meadowbrook into a high profile urban lake.  Various lake treatments were developed and prioritised into actions to be implemented over the next 3-5 years with the first stage of works completed in 2016.

Sanctuary Hills Estate – Koala Plan of Management and Vegetation Management Plan

A Koala Plan of Management (KPoM) was required for Sanctuary Hills Estate (Goonellabah) to address the draft Lismore Comprehensive Koala Plan and identify innovatiove actions to compensate for habitat embellishment and enable lonmg term connectivity between habitat areas. In addition to preparing the KPoM (which was approved by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure), AWC also prepared a Vegetaion managemnt Plan (VMP) to guide habitat restoration activities at the site.

Stewart’s Farm Ecological Assessment

Yamba Bypass Species Impact Statement

AWC completed a Species Impact Statement (SIS) for Section 1 of the proposed Yamba Bypass, with detailed targeted survey and habitat mapping completed for two threatened fauna species (Squirrel Glider, Grey-crowned Babbler).

Upper Coopers Creek temporary access road

AWC assessed the poposed temporary access road to Upper Coopers Creek following a severe landslip in early 2013. Detailed ecological and contamination assessment of the proposed roadway was completed and a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) prepared for the project.
